Delete your RouteBraid account and data
- Effective date: August 20, 2026
- App and developer: RouteBraid
- Privacy contact: RouteBraid@gmail.com
This page explains how to request deletion of a RouteBraid cloud account and the associated data. You can plan trips locally without an account. Deleting a cloud account does not remove trips that remain only on your device and does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription.
Delete your account in the app
- Open RouteBraid and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- Select Cloud Account.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation and complete the deletion prompt.
This removes the active RouteBraid cloud account and associated RouteBraid-controlled cloud profile, synchronization, collaboration, invitation, and profile-media data. If you own a shared trip, complete any transfer or export you want before deletion. Other people may retain content they previously exported, copied, or screenshotted.
Request deletion without the app
Email RouteBraid@gmail.com from the address associated with the account. Use the subject RouteBraid Account Deletion Request and state that you want the RouteBraid cloud account deleted. Do not send a password, payment-card number, passport number, or unnecessary sensitive information.
RouteBraid may ask for limited information needed to verify that you control the account. After verification, RouteBraid will process the request and confirm completion or explain any lawful exception.
What may remain
Limited information can remain temporarily in encrypted backups, provider logs, security records, support records, or transaction systems until it ages out under applicable retention schedules. RouteBraid may retain information when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, resolve a dispute, or establish or defend legal claims. De-identified information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may also be retained.
Cancel a paid subscription separately
Account deletion does not cancel billing. Open RouteBraid Settings > Manage subscription, or use the subscription-management screen in Google Play or the App Store, to change or cancel RouteBraid Pro. Store and RevenueCat transaction records may remain under their legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and transaction-retention obligations.
Local data
Deleting the cloud account does not automatically delete trips stored locally on your phone. Delete those trips in RouteBraid, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app if you also want to remove local data. Copies you exported or shared are controlled by their destination.
